Maria von Hausswolff

Maria von Hausswolff was born in 1985 in Gothenburg, Sweden. She studied Fine art at Stædelschule in Frankfurt am Main and Cinematography at The National Filmschool of Denmark in Copenhagen from where she graduated in 2013. Maria now lives and works out of Copenhagen as a cinematographer and artist filmmaker
The last few years has really shed light on her talent – in 2017 she got awarded with a “Bodil” for her camerawork on the feature film “Parents” directed by Christian Tafdrup and in 2018 she got awarded with a “Robert” and a “Bodil” for her camerawork on “Winter Brothers” directed by Hlynur Palmason, which also won Best Feature Film Debut at the Camerimage.
